Frequently asked questions

Everything you need to know

Do I need a boating licence to hire a speedboat in Menorca?

+
Yes, a boating licence is required to hire a speedboat without a skipper. If you don’t have a licence, we can include a skipper on any boat in our fleet.

Which port is best to depart from in Menorca?

+
It depends on where you’re staying and what you want to see. Mahón and Cala Galdana for the south coast and most famous coves. Fornells for the wild north coast. Ciutadella for the western coves like Turqueta and Macarella. Tell us where you are and we’ll recommend the best departure point.

What is the difference between a speedboat and a RIB in Menorca?

+
A speedboat is more comfortable and faster, ideal for groups of 6 to 12 people with a canopy and cool box. A RIB is more agile and economical: it can enter rocky-bottom coves where larger boats cannot. For groups of 4 to 8 people who want to reach more hidden spots, the RIB is the best option.

What is included in a speedboat hire in Menorca?

+
Insurance, safety equipment and use of the boat. Fuel, skipper and any extras are agreed separately and we detail everything before you confirm: no surprises.

How far in advance should I book a speedboat in Menorca?

+
In July and August we recommend booking 3–4 weeks in advance. In June and September 1–2 weeks is usually enough. Message us and we’ll confirm availability the same day.

Can I hire a speedboat by the hour in Menorca?

+
The most common option is a full day (8 hours), which allows a complete cove-hopping route. A half day (4 hours) is also available for a shorter route from Cala Galdana or Fornells. Get in touch depending on what you want to see.
