FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Everything you need to know

How many days are ideal for sailing around Mallorca?

+
The usual option is a Saturday-to-Saturday week (8 days, 12:00 to 12:00), which lets you combine the Bay of Palma, the southwest and the south with Cabrera. If you only have one day, the bay and Portals Vells or Sa Dragonera are the best choice.

Which port do we leave from?

+
Mostly from Palma (Club de Mar and Real Club Náutico) and Puerto Portals in Calvià. Depending on the boat, we can also depart from Port Adriano, Andratx, Alcúdia or Cala d'Or. Tell us where you are staying and we will suggest the most convenient port.

Do I need a boating licence?

+
Not if you rent with a skipper. To skipper the boat yourself you need the licence required for its length and power. If you don't have one, we include a professional skipper.

When is the best time to rent a boat in Mallorca?

+
From May to October. June and September offer the best balance of calm sea, warm weather and quiet coves. July and August are high season.

Can we anchor in any cove?

+
Posidonia seagrass is protected in the Balearic Islands, so boats may only anchor on sand or on authorised buoys. Cabrera National Park requires a navigation and anchoring permit in advance. Your skipper and our team take care of all of it.

What is included in the price?

+
It depends on the boat: the rental, insurance and safety equipment are always included. Skipper, fuel, cleaning, VAT and extras are itemised before you confirm, so you see the full price.
