How much does it cost to charter a yacht in Mallorca?
+
It depends on the length, season and number of days. On top of the boat price come fuel, the skipper if not included, cleaning, VAT and, for multi-day charters, the APA. We send you the full breakdown before you confirm.
What is the APA?
+
An advance for trip expenses (fuel, ports, provisions) paid at the start of a multi-day charter. At the end, the accounts are settled and any balance is returned.
Do I need a licence to charter a yacht with a skipper?
+
No. With a professional skipper you don't need any licence: they are responsible for the navigation and you simply enjoy.
Which port do we leave from?
+
Mostly from Palma (Club de Mar and Real Club Náutico) and Puerto Portals in Calvià. Depending on the boat, we can also depart from Port Adriano, Andratx, Alcúdia or Cala d'Or. Tell us where you are staying and we will suggest the most convenient port.
How far in advance should I book?
+
For July and August, the best yachts are booked 2 to 3 months ahead. In June and September there is usually availability 3 to 4 weeks out.
What is the difference between booking with SeaTime and on a platform?
+
On a platform you see photos and prices. With SeaTime you talk to people who know each boat and the island, negotiate for you and are available throughout your charter.
