3. REFUND POLICY

Last updated: October 2026

Nature of the service and refund regime

SeaTime provides a vessel hire intermediation service. As these are services related to leisure activities carried out on a specific date or during a specific period, the exception to the right of withdrawal set out in Article 103(l) of Spanish Royal Legislative Decree 1/2007 (TRLGDCU) applies. Notwithstanding this, SeaTime establishes the following refund policy in favour of the user:

Refunds for user-initiated cancellations

The refund applicable upon cancellation by the user depends on the cancellation policy of the partner responsible for the vessel. This policy is communicated to the user expressly and in writing at the time of booking confirmation, forming an integral part of the contractual conditions.

In all cases, SeaTime will retain its intermediation commission on any non-refundable amounts, unless the cancellation is attributable to SeaTime.

Notice period before the service dateRefund on amounts paid to SeaTime
More than 30 daysAs per partner policy (stated in confirmation)
Between 15 and 30 daysAs per partner policy (stated in confirmation)
Less than 15 daysAs per partner policy (stated in confirmation)

Refunds for weather-related cancellations

If the service cannot be provided due to weather conditions that make navigation impossible or notoriously dangerous in the skipper’s judgement, and it is not possible to reschedule by mutual agreement, the user will receive a full refund (100%) of all amounts paid, including SeaTime’s commission, within a maximum of 14 working days from confirmed cancellation.

Refunds for partner non-performance

If the partner fails to provide the service for reasons attributable to them (unavailability, unreported breakdown, failure to meet agreed conditions), SeaTime will manage the full refund of all amounts paid via SeaTime as soon as possible, and in any event within a maximum of 14 working days.

Items not refundable through SeaTime

The following items are managed directly by the partner or vessel owner and are not subject to refund through SeaTime:

  • Security deposit or guarantee
  • APA (Advanced Provisioning Allowance)
  • Amounts paid directly to the partner at the time of boarding

Refund request procedure

To request a refund, the user must send an email to info@seatime.yachts including:

  • Booking reference or date and vessel booked
