Do I need a boating licence to hire a speedboat in Ibiza?

It depends on the engine. Boats with engines over 5 HP require a nautical licence or a professional skipper on board. If you don't have a licence, we can include a skipper with any vessel in our fleet — you get all the expertise on board and simply enjoy the ride.

What is the difference between a speedboat and a RIB?

A speedboat offers more space, comfort and speed — ideal for groups of up to 14 with a cool-box, sun canopy and snorkelling gear. A RIB is lighter and more agile: it can enter narrow coves with rocky seabeds where larger boats can't reach, and its price is more accessible for small groups of 4 to 10 people.

Can I reach Formentera by speedboat from Ibiza?

Yes, it's one of the most popular crossings. Formentera is about 30-40 minutes by speedboat from Ibiza harbour. In normal sea conditions the crossing is very comfortable. Ses Illetes and Espalmador are far better enjoyed arriving on your own boat — without the crowds of the public ferry.

What is included in a speedboat hire in Ibiza?

Which marina do we depart from?

We work mainly from Ibiza city port and Marina Botafoc, though departures from San Antonio can be arranged depending on the vessel. Tell us where you're staying and we'll find the most convenient option for you.

How far in advance should I book?

In July and August we recommend booking at least 3-4 weeks ahead, especially if you want a skippered boat for specific dates. In June and September 1-2 weeks is usually enough. Message us with no commitment and we'll confirm availability the same day.
